After completing General Surgery residency, Dr. Ulm was recruited for a Plastic and Reconstructive surgery fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston and then went on to receive highly sought-after fellowship training in Aesthetic and Craniofacial Surgery from Harvard/Mass General, working with world-renowned Dr. Michael Yaremchuk. During this fellowship, Dr. Ulm learned advanced techniques in facial cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, as well as craniofacial surgery, and was also an Instructor in Surgery at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Ulm is an Associate Professor of Surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina, and an active member of the Cleft and Craniofacial Clinic, Advanced Breast Reconstruction Program, as well as a consultant in Plastic Surgery at all other local hospitals in the Charleston area.
I met Dr. Ulm only a few days after I found out that I required a double-mastectomy, and I’m so grateful for his care throughout the whole process – which included the surgical decisions, insurance billing, and follow-up. The entire staff went above and beyond. He is a perfectionist and a professional, and I am so pleased with my results. I would insist on his care for my closest friends and family.
